Shane Dwyer - Director

If there is a single phrase that sums up my life and work it is ‘to know God and to make God known’. Without always realising it, it is in response to this quest that I have made the major decisions of my life – including accepting my current role as Director of the National Centre for Evangelisation.

Over the years I have enjoyed the challenge of attending to this mission by a variety of means, including: the creation of adult faith formation resources, producing and delivering theological courses, and in the provision of faith formation seminars, spiritual direction and retreat leadership in a wide variety of settings.

The desire to contribute to the Church’s mission of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in this country and beyond is what attracted me to this role. I enjoy the chance to assist Catholics and others to come to a deepened understanding of our baptismal vocation and how it is the basis of our mission to the world.
